10DAYSFeaturing an optimized electromagnetic design, the DTP10012 measures 92 mm × 63 mm × 63 mm and weighs approximately 756 g. While remaining portable for field use, it delivers enhanced excitation capability and inspection sensitivity, making it suitable for assessing metal wall thickness beneath relatively thick insulation or cladding.
Based on Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC) technology, the DTP10012 enables rapid inspection of metallic structures through insulation or cladding without removing the insulation, grinding the surface, or using couplant. With a cladding thickness of approximately 60 mm, the sensor can detect a metal wall thickness of approximately 18 mm. As the cladding thickness decreases, the probe can detect thicker metal sections. For thinner metal structures, it can accommodate thicker cladding during corrosion screening, depending on the specific inspection conditions.
With its larger inspection coverage area and strong penetration capability, the DTP10012 is particularly suitable for rapid corrosion assessment of large industrial structures, including long-distance transmission pipelines, refinery and petrochemical process piping, storage tanks, and pressure equipment. It is especially well suited for corrosion under insulation (CUI) screening, corrosion assessment in concealed areas, and field inspection applications where conventional ultrasonic testing can be difficult to perform.
Compatible with BEONDT PEC instruments: Designed for use with BEONDT's range of pulsed eddy current testing instruments.
Large-format probe design: Provides enhanced penetration capability for demanding inspection conditions.
No insulation removal required: Enables inspection through insulation or cladding without removing it.
No couplant required: Supports efficient field inspection without ultrasonic couplant.
Suitable for thick insulation: Designed for corrosion screening beneath relatively thick insulation or cladding.
Efficient large-area scanning: Helps improve on-site inspection efficiency and coverage.
Wide industrial applications: Suitable for the oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, energy, and pressure vessel industries.
The BEONDT DTP10012 Pulsed Eddy Current Sensor combines enhanced penetration capability with a larger inspection coverage area, providing reliable and efficient technical support for corrosion risk assessment in complex industrial environments.
